The process and art of creation and building is what we live for. It's also systematic, collaborative, and coordinated over time. Building planning starts with defining the constraints, then developing a plan.
What is a constraint? These are our limiting factors that we must work within. Site, budget, climate, purpose, and building codes are all examples of constraints we will define. Developing is the act of making to exist. This starts with drawings on paper which then get compared and measured against our constraints. This takes trying and trying again, but the drawings evolve as we eliminate the ideas that don't meet all our constraints. As we iterate, or repeat this step, the plan becomes refined and clarified. The result of this process are graceful and elegant spaces that will get built to last.
